Project Salvation
Reflection
To conclude my project, I would say that my partner and I did a successful job. Our goal was to volunteer for the Salvation Army to prepare and serve food for the people that seek help from that program. I believe this project was a success because we were able to make time in order to help this program. We took advantage of holidays as well as weekends to prepare, package, and serve meals. Every weekend, over 200 meals were served from the Salvation Army facility and from their mobile food truck. I feel that with all the hard work my partner and I have put into this project, we were able to make a difference in the lives of our fellow islanders. If I were to do this again, I would do it over the summer. This would give me more time to participate with the Salvation Army workers and make more of an impact on the lives of my intended audience. To continue to make a difference in the lives of my intended audience, I could continue to give in what ever time I have to volunteer.
Nice job, thanks for helping the people in need. -johnny

ReplyDeleteKalea! So proud of you! I've seen the growing lines and I know our community needs the help, time and effort that others put in. It's heartwarming that our youth understand this. It is part of our culture to help our family and neighbors! Please share and spread the message so people have an outlet and may find the drive in themselves to do what you are doing. To someone, you made their day, allowed them another moment of hope! Every little bit counts in a big way!
